Our Strengths

There are many companies that coordinate between foreign patients and Japanese medical institutions; however, a key standard is whether the company is registered with the government as a "Guarantor Organization." Currently, there are as many as 230 such organizations, varying greatly in quality, making it very difficult to choose the right one.

On the other hand, our company belongs to the IMS Group, one of the largest in Japan, which is backed by hospitals, and we take pride in the strong trust we have earned.

Moreover, we are not only a registered Guarantor Organization but also a member of the Japan International Medical Coordination Association (JIMCA), an industry group through which we continuously strive to improve our quality. We are also a member of Medical Excellence JAPAN, have obtained AMTAC certification, undergo annual operational audits, and participate in the MT Forum.

Through these multiple layers of checks by various organizations, we are confident that our patients can receive medical care with peace of mind.

Certifications and Licenses

  • Registered as a Guarantor Organization under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (Registration Number: B-009)
  • AMTAC certification awarded by the General Incorporated Association Medical Excellence JAPAN (MEJ), based on government policies.
  • Certified as a provisional AMTAC (Accredited Medical Travel Assistance Company) certified company (MEJ-AMTAC-INTERIM001).
  • Certified with the PrivacyMark for appropriate handling and protection of personal information.

Medical Services in Japan

Japanese healthcare is globally recognized for its high quality and advanced technology. Focusing on creating personalized medical plans, we coordinate with medical institutions throughout Japan to offer a wide range of services, including consultations, health screenings, cancer screening, remote second opinions, and advanced medical treatments.

Strengths of Japanese Healthcare

Japanese healthcare is highly regarded worldwide for its quality and advanced technology. Below, we explain the reasons why Japanese medical care is so highly valued globally and its distinctive features.

Advanced Medical Technology and Cutting-Edge Research

Japan is known as a country with cutting-edge medical technology. It leads innovation in the medical field with advancements such as robotic surgery, minimally invasive endoscopic procedures, and the latest cancer treatment technologies. Additionally, research on regenerative medicine, gene therapy, and stem cell-based treatments is progressing rapidly, with successful cases in these areas attracting worldwide attention.

Highly Skilled Healthcare Professionals

Japanese healthcare professionals, especially doctors and nurses, undergo advanced education and training, boasting globally high standards. Japanese physicians receive continuous education to deepen their expertise, and many research papers presented at medical conferences worldwide are authored by Japanese doctors. This not only maintains the quality of medical care in Japan but also contributes to the advancement of medical technology.

Well-Equipped Medical Infrastructure and Facilities

Hospitals and medical facilities in Japan are equipped with the latest medical devices and technologies, providing an optimal treatment environment for patients. Advanced diagnostic equipment such as CT scans and MRI machines are available, enabling rapid and accurate diagnoses. Additionally, facilities like operating rooms and intensive care units (ICUs) are well-equipped, ensuring a system capable of delivering safe and effective treatment.

Safe and Hygienic Medical Environment

Japanese hospitals are known as some of the cleanest medical facilities in the world. Strict hygiene management and infection control measures are thoroughly implemented, creating an environment where patients can receive treatment with peace of mind. Furthermore, the rate of hospital-acquired infections is extremely low, which reflects the high quality of medical care in Japan.

Patient-Centered Medical Care

Japanese healthcare places great importance on providing careful and detailed care to each individual patient. Communication between doctors and patients is also highly valued, and the approach of “shared decision-making,” where the patient’s opinions are respected and optimal treatment methods are decided together, is becoming more widespread. Additionally, medical facilities in Japan offer comprehensive interpretation services and multilingual support, creating an environment where foreign patients can also receive treatment with peace of mind.

High Average Life Expectancy and Access to Healthcare

Japan is one of the countries with the longest average life expectancy in the world, which reflects the high quality of its healthcare system. Furthermore, the even distribution of medical facilities across the country allows people to receive high-quality medical care not only in urban areas but also in rural regions. The public health insurance system, which enables all citizens to access medical services at an affordable cost, is also highly regarded.

Advanced Treatments such as Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Therapy

Japan is also a global leader in the field of regenerative medicine, with ongoing research and practical application of new treatments such as stem cell therapy and organ regeneration technology. This progress provides new therapeutic options for intractable diseases and chronic conditions. In particular, treatments using induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells are among the world-renowned achievements of Japan’s medical research.

Important Points for Medical Consultation and Health Checkup

When foreign patients receive self-paid medical examinations in Japan, the consultation fees are generally higher compared to those for Japanese patients. In some hospitals, fees may be set at 2 to 5 times higher for foreign patients. This can be attributed to the following reasons.

1. Not covered by insurance

For foreign patients who are not covered by Japan's public health insurance, medical expenses must be paid entirely out of pocket. While the fees paid by Japanese patients are largely covered by public insurance, foreigners who cannot use this insurance may face higher medical costs.

2. Increased medical workload and risks

For foreign patients, language support (such as interpretation) and consideration of cultural and medical system differences are necessary, which can increase the burden on the hospital. Therefore, additional fees may be added on top of the regular medical charges.

3. Demand for emergency response and expensive treatments

When tourists or short-term visitors seek medical care for sudden illness or injury, emergency response is often required, resulting in additional costs. Additionally, the provision of advanced medical treatments or high-cost therapies requested by foreign patients is also one of the reasons for higher fees.

4. Adjustment of appointment availability

Some hospitals set up special appointment slots for foreign patients and may charge additional fees to manage reservation adjustments and secure consultation times.
