Flow of Examination and Treatment Acceptance

Step 01

Inquiry

Through phone, email, SNS, etc., our specialized team provides one-on-one consultation. We understand your medical condition, purpose of consultation, and other needs, introduce our services and fee structure, explain the medical situation in Japan and the acceptance conditions of various hospitals, and select the most suitable hospital (doctor) for you.

Step 02

Collection of Medical Information and Charging Initial Consultation Fee

Based on the patient's condition identified during the inquiry and the regulations of the introducing hospital, we collect the patient's medical information. The initial consultation fee refers to the prepayment required to submit materials to the hospital, verify acceptance for examination or treatment, and arrange reservations.

Step 03

Start Matching with the Hospital

Upon confirmation of the payment of your initial consultation fee, our specialized medical translation team translates and organizes your medical information as required by Japanese hospitals. We then match you with a medical institution, determine the medical institution to visit, and confirm the consultation reservation date.

Step 04

Notification of Confirmation Results and Presentation of Estimated Costs

If the medical institution deems acceptance possible, we provide an estimate of medical costs and a treatment plan.

Step 05

Decision to Come to Japan, Support for Medical Stay Visa Application

To avoid visa-related risks while receiving medical treatment in Japan, if long-term treatment is necessary, a medical stay visa must be obtained in principle, and we support this process. Additionally, upon request, we can assist with accommodation reservations and airport transfer arrangements.

Step 06

Decision to Come to Japan, Payment of Estimated Costs, and Signing of Various Consents and Contracts

Once the medical visa is obtained and travel to Japan is confirmed, the full estimated cost, including I-cell's service fees and medical expenses, must be prepaid before coming to Japan. We guarantee that the prepaid medical expenses will be paid to the hospital by I-cell (proxy payment for medical expenses).

Step 07

Arrive in Japan and Undergo Examinations or Treatment

You can come to Japan according to the pre-scheduled consultation schedule and receive treatment. After arriving in Japan, we provide comprehensive local services, including medical interpretation assistance, according to your needs and hospital requirements. Based on the actual medical condition or examination results in Japan, the hospital may adjust the treatment plan or decide to discontinue treatment.

Step 08

Completion of Consultation, Return Home, and Settlement

After treatment ends, settlement is carried out based on actually incurred medical expenses, medical interpretation fees, mediation service fees, and other related costs (any differences will be refunded or additionally charged).
